Auditioning for casting directors

One on One NYC has proven to be quite advantageous!  I have auditioned for more agents and casting directors than I ever could have imagined, and all the auditions are going quite well!  I am getting wonderful feedback, and lots of expert advice on how to improve my craft.  I love meeting new people!!

A very fun and exciting audition for a casting director at One on One NYC!

One on One NYC!

I am thrilled to be a new member of One on One NYC!  So grateful for all the opportunities opening up for me!

“The Cleansing”

I recently had the honor of working under the direction of Gary Marino Jr. in a new short by Fractures Films.  The shoot was awesome and I had so much fun with the cast and crew!  A BIG thanks to everyone involved for such an amazing experience! Check out other films by Gary Marino Jr. and Elliot Fu on their website!

Booked a Feature Film!

I had an audition and a callback last week for a feature film, “Lisa and Ariel,” and was just notified last night that I landed a role!  I am so grateful for the opportunity- and can not wait to start working with these incredibly talented and ambitious people!  Rehearsals start immediately and filming begins in February!

Fun Audition!!

I just auditioned for a really awesome project. Loved the script, and love the company. The audition was thrilling!  I really got to play! I walked out feeling on top of the world!  Makes me remember why I’m an actress.  So grateful for all the opportunities that are coming my way!

Coaching with Jim Brill of The Neighborhood Playhouse, NYC

So excited to be taking a class with Jim Brill, of the Neighborhood Playhouse.  It’s a class where we can work though and be coached on whatever material we choose.  This should be extremely helpful… FUN.  Monologues, monologues, monologues!

In a FLASH

Just booked a short film, “Flash,” with some really cool people from The New York Film Academy.  Shoots the week of January 10th!  Can’t wait!

Happy 2011

It’s a new year!  Have many auditions lined up and am in the process of writing a screenplay.  Hoping to produce it by next fall!  Cheers to the New Year and loving life!

My theatre company is raising funds!!

Third Year Theatre is excited to announce that we have our first project, “A Wolf Like Me” by Chris Purnell, posted on Kickstarter’s website. I hope you’ll take a look and help us get this production off the ground- and definitely help us spread the word! Kimberly Laurenne’s Kickstarter Page

Producing. Is. Awesome.

I am LOVING the production end of the industry. Yes, it is crazy trying to manage everything, and my true love will always be acting- but I gotta say- producing my first show is turning out to be pretty amazing. All I can say is, I am lucky to have as many wonderful people apart of my company as I do. Without the extra hands, I’d be lost. Thanks to everyone involved in Third Year Theatre. www.thirdyeartheatre.com

LOVE THE WORK!

Third Year Theatre is a wild and crazy endeavor, but I am going after it full force! We are producing our first show in September called “A Wolf Like Me” by UK based playwright Chris Purnell. We held auditions on Saturday and have finally chosen our cast. I could not be more excited to see what the future has to offer for my brand new baby theatre company! Look out world!!
